Job Description: Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Account Assistant to join their finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our accounting department, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, and contributing to their mission of sustainable construction and conservation.
Responsibilities:
Assist with daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Reconcile financial records and bank statements to ensure accuracy.
Verify, process, and record invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders.
Collaborate with project managers to track project costs and budgets.
Monitor and maintain financial records and documentation in compliance with industry regulations.
Support the Finance Manager in month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
Assist with financial reporting and analysis as required.
Handle vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
Previous experience in an accounting or finance role within the construction industry is a plus.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
