JOB PURPOSE

To deliver Construction and Landscaping work experience to young people who are not in employment or education. KRT staff help young people gain employment within the construction industry by ensuring they achieve the necessary skills and competency to pass CSCS, Health & Safety training and other entry level qualifications.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Able to deliver client projects including bricklaying, slabbing, paving, pointing, fencing, gardening and general small construction projects.

  • Able to provide quotes to customers.

  • Responsible for delivering a vocational, Introduction to Construction course alongside other Trainers.

  • Providing training in the use of basic work tools, whilst adhering to the necessary Health & Safety guidelines.

  • Monitoring learners in ‘Realtime’ working activities and keep basic journals on their progress.

  • Assessing learners work and raising their aspirations through constructive feedback and appropriate support.

  • Working with hard-to-reach individuals who are likely to face multiple barriers to gaining employment .

  • To contribute to the development of the learners, including breadth and depth of learning, development of employability skills, attitudes, and behaviours.

  • Providing support to learners completing the CITB Site Safety Plus training course.

  • Providing support to learners doing their CSCS exam.

  • Ensure at all times projects are undertaken in a safe manner and young people are kept safe when on site.

  • To promote and inspire a learning culture with an uncompromising commitment to excellence.

  • To demonstrate a commitment to the safeguarding of Young People.

  • To support the Training Team and Director with ad hoc assignments and additional duties within your skill and competence as the Company may reasonably require, where the workload demands and/or there is a business need.

  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures including those to protect the health and safety and welfare of anyone affected by the Company’s business.

  • Undertake training to meet the requirements of the role.

  • Behave in a manner, which respects the differing needs and cultures of other staff.
