Contracts Manager / Projects - Residential - Hampshire

Hunter Mason are looking for an experienced Residential Project Manager to join our clients growing team. We working with a residential construction company that specialise in high end new builds. The ideal candidate will have extensive residential construction knowledge.

Key duties and expectations will include: -

  • Experience in reading construction drawings and designs

  • Identifying and efficiently problem solving issues on site

  • Be responsible for resolving day to day issues within projects

  • Ensure that the project requirements, specifications and drawings are in place

  • Have excellent communication skills

  • Report site progress to Office

  • Manage communication with all interested parties i.e. main contractors, subcontractors, supervisors and inspectors

  • Oversee and manage resources and materials

  • Must have a great attitude towards work

  • Ensure construction drawings are correct and the latest copy of drawings are on site

  • Ensure all contractors/visitors are wearing PPE on site

  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety policy and safety to public

  • Ensure the site is secure at all times

  • Ensure materials are ordered and manage and check all on-site deliveries

  • Ensure work is carried out according to construction drawings and designs

  • Maintain health and safety equipment on site

  • Minimise risks on site and find ways to prevent risks

  • Work towards strict deadlines

Required skills: -

  • Must be computer literate

  • Good communication skills

  • Keen to succeed

  • Team working skills

  • Keen to learn and develop

  • Problem solving skills

  • Organisational skills

  • 5 years' site based experience

Desirable skills and qualifications: -

Safety training such as SMSTS, CSCS, working at height, appointed person, first aid etc. would be preferable.
