HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER – WAKEFIELD (with travel) – UP TO £50k+CAR
Hunter Mason are recruiting a Health and Safety Manager for an established consultancy based in Wakefield. The Company strive to provide ‘Best in Class’ professional Consultancy Services, that enable our clients to achieve best market value and to have the confidence that their construction projects and building assets are managed properly and in a professional manner.
THE JOB
The purpose of this role is to be the company lead for all Health and Safety matters relating to both Occupational and Service Delivery instructions. A part of this role is to be able to grow a team in line with company growth plans. The role will be split and fee earning will be required as part of CDM instructions. The company is implementing new management systems and Health and Safety will be incorporated into this.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Management of company Health and Safety.
Development of Health and Safety systems for implementation into company management system.
Site Inspections and site audits.
Preparation and review of H&S Documents.
Accreditation Applications.
Preparation and review of RAMS and Health & Safety Policies.
Company lead as Principal Designer for a variety of schemes, this includes training and management of internal staff.
You are responsible for bringing in new clients and sourcing new opportunities.
Quality Control is a massive requirement to ensure that quality of documentation is high.
To ensure that correct processes are in place to protect the business and ensure compliance with ISO.

Extensive experience in Health and Safety in a construction consultancy environment, with a proven track record.
Have previously worked in a professional practice.
Experience of implementing systems and monitoring.
Have confidence and experience of implementing change.
Be willing to travel to sites nationally.
