Project Engineer (Mechanical) £35,000 to £45,000 Doncaster About: My client is an established company based in Doncaster, they are currently seeking an Project Engineer to join their friendly team on a permanent basis. Project Engineer skills & experiences: Recording project costs, Process Improvement, Verbal Communication,Written Communication, Detail-Oriented, Risk Management,Negotiation,Cost Control,Communication,Problem Solving,Analytical Skills,Technical skills Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects.

  • Ensure that their projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

  • Carry out site surveys and collate information required to design and detail equipment required.

  • Produce PID, PFD, layout drawings and detail drawings.

  • Create bills of materials to allow equipment to be manufactured and procured.

  • Report and escalate to management as needed.

  • Be capable to communicate with clients and relevant stakeholders.

  • Be aware of risks to ensure plant is safe to manufacture, install, operate & maintain.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation in line with group quality and H&S systems.

  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.

  • Maintain appropriate information for senior management to monitor project performance.

  • Understand budgetary objectives to achieve project completion to estimate.

  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience/Skills:

  • Ability to read and produce drawings using both Solidworks and Autocad.

  • Excellent understanding of mechanical engineering principles.

  • Be able to design with careful consideration of safety, maintenance and constructibility requirements.

  • Good client-facing and internal communication skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Minimum HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent / experience.

  • Basic experience with project management software tools.

Job Type: Full-time Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year Benefits:
