PROJECT MANAGER – STORAGE UNITS – NEWPORT (with travel) – UP TO £50k

Hunter Mason are recruiting for a Project Manager with a specialism on fit-out for the commercial sector.
Our client is one of the UK’s private leading self-storage providers. A well-established and rapidly expanding organisation with currently 13 current trading stores in the group’s UK portfolio, together with an active pipeline of 6 locations in development coupled with further expansion planned across the UK.
THE ROLE
Ideally based near Newport where the HQ is located, with willingness to travel into midlands & North England as required.
The successful applicant will be lead and oversee all projects and will build, manage and guide the projects team to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget. Coordinating internal resources as well as third party suppliers and contractors for the flawless execution of projects, the position will be interesting, varied and challenging, with excellent future prospects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate internal resources as well as third party suppliers and contractors for the flawless execution of projects
Developing project scopes, programmes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Develop a detailed project plan to track progress and oversee all trades
Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
Manage the relationship with all required parties
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Provide leadership, clarity and direction to the projects team to ensure all project objectives are met
REQUIREMENTS
Proven track record in construction, fit out, refurbish and building project management
Proven experience in new build construction
Experience creating project programmes from scratch
Experience leading projects from cradle to grave
Experience managing several projects simultaneously
Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, NOT ESSENTIAL
RICS qualified
