Hunter Mason's client is looking for an experienced project surveyor who has experience working with stone & tile to work within a medium size subcontractor / trade contractor to work on projects ranging from £25,000 small refurbishments to £6M full fit outs. The client boast of their ability to look after their staff and this is shown by their staff tenure. This role has become available as the previous project surveyor has retired after working for the client for over 11 years.

Responsibilities:

· Initial concept budgets from scheme designs.

· Detailed budgets as the design evolves.

· Cost advice to assist the design evolution.

· Pre-tender estimates to assist the Client in understanding potential prices for the works required.

· Preparing information for inclusion in pricing documents.

· Conducting interim valuations and agreeing final accounts with Contractors, Sub-contractors, and suppliers.

· Taking the Clients brief.

· Understanding the Clients brief and forming an action plan.

· Collating the communications strategy.

· Briefing and appointing design team members.

· Managing the design team to meet the Clients brief.

· Monitoring the production and submission of Planning Applications.

· Advising on procurement routes. Preparing and issuing pricing to documentation.

· Evaluating pricing returns for suitability. Generating Contract documents.

· Administering the Contracts.

· Managing invoices on behalf of Clients.

· Hosting and minuting Client/Design/Site Meetings.

· Monitoring progress of the projects and producing regular reports for Clients and Funders.

· Resolving day to day issues and problems on site

Essential attributes:

· Stone & Tile Experience.

· Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying

· Your own client list would be beneficial.

· Good problem solving and organisational skills.

· The ability to meet strict deadlines.

· Possess strong communication skills to an exceptional standard.

Salary: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
