Quantity Surveyor - Any construction background considered
Job Purpose
Provide commercial expertise to deliver contracts covering:-
Demolition contracts, which include survey, remediation, earth works, enabling works, site preparation, strip-out and demolition.
Asbestos survey, remediation and removal.
Laser Levelling
Production and submission of estimates, quotations, payment claims, budget monitoring, and preparation of monthly cost value comparisons.
Management of the quote process across multiple work streams working with contractors, the client and colleagues. Ensure agreed targets are met.
Responsibilities
•Read, understand and accurately interpret Client specifications/schedules to produce accurate estimates and quotes.
•Identify opportunities to add value throughout project process.
•Measuring, valuation and invoicing of completed works.
•Commercial assessment of contractor quotations for small works and major contracts.
•Monitor and manage contractors against their quotation processes.
•Provide commercial analysis & reporting of contractor performance
•Arrange and lead contractor valuation audits and performance review meetings
•Provide commercial reporting and forecasting support to Divisional Manager and Company Board
•Assist with generation of cost reporting and provision of additional ad hoc reporting where required
•Assist with tendering exercises and the re-procurement of service provision of contractors where necessary
•Provide high class customer service to our clients
•Daily uploading of commercial data into our IT system
Experience and Qualifications Required
•CSCS card preferable
•Degree or HND qualified
•Proven excellent IT skills, especially MS Excel
•Proven excellent communicator across a wide spectrum of contacts internal and external
•Proven excellent organisational skills

These are illustrative duties and the post holder will be expected to become involved in a range of work to enable the department to respond effectively to the requirements of the Company.
