Hunter Mason are excited to be working with a construction builder specialising in residential new build and refurbishment, listed building renovations, residential extensions and commercial new build.
We are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor specialising in high end residential extensions, conversions, new builds developments, commercial building conversions, office fit outs and industrial unit construction.
As the company continue its planned growth strategy, and on the back of a series of sustained large project wins, we currently have the following vacancy.
Position
Quantity Surveyor - Construction
The successful candidate will be supported and will report directly back to the Board of Directors.
Duties
The successful candidate will be confident, enthusiastic, keen to learn, with the ability to build and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and customers.
The candidate
The successful candidate for this role will have:
Good level of standard education with excellent numerical skills
Excellent organisation skills
Proficient in the use of the Microsoft office suite particularly Excel
Good negotiation skills
Working knowledge of cost base
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Copes well under pressure.
Used to working within strict deadlines.
Previous industry experience
Construction Pricing Packages experience desirable but not essential
Key accountabilities
Weekly preparation of internal sales and costs of ongoing projects
Customer and Client focus.
Contract and Commercial Administration.
Preparation and submission of project final accounts
Working knowledge of cost base
Liaise with the construction teams and management to monitor progress and obtain details of site variations.
Process and project control to deliver the contract
Updating of internal and external systems and reports.
Billing the work as it is completed.
Submission and settling Final Accounts
You will coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders for the execution of your own specific project.
