Quantity Surveyor
East Anglia
£25-£50k + healthcare, company car and healthcare
My client are a well-established family firm, now the fifth generation of builders in Coney Weston.
As a company they undertake a wide scope of works, carried out mostly although not exclusively on Historic secular buildings and Churches.
They mainly undertake contracts with a value ranging from £5k upwards to an upper figure of £1.5m with a typical contract being in the £10k- £500k range.
They have worked on upwards of 200 Churches in East Anglia, carrying out both repairs and alterations, many stately homes for the National Trust, as well as private clients carrying out works from minor repair, to complicated alteration, installation of passive fire protection, major repairs and works of maintenance etc., many scheduled monuments carrying out works of repair / consolidation. They have also worked on many hundreds of privately owned houses & buildings, both timber framed & traditionally constructed.
The role
I am looking to place a Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis with a good understanding of traditional builds. Experience is not necessarily are requirement in traditional builds, however previous work as QS is desirable.
The majority of work will be based in and around East Anglia ad you will be office based for up to 3 days a week, the remainder being on sites. Whilst a background in QS will help you, you will also need to hold good people skills for this role.
