Senior Project Manager – Refrigeration/Heat Pumps – Surrey Area – £65k
The Project Manager Role will provide continued support for the installation of renewable technologies at schools across Surrey. This is to include the removal of gas boilers and replacement with ASHP’s and Solar. Additional secondary measures such as insulation and glazing will be undertaken at some of the schools. The works are being undertaken through grant funding which the local authority secured through PSDS.
The Role
More specifically, your role will include the successful planning and execution of assigned technical biased work packages.
Create and deliver project or work package plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
Identify resources and assign responsibilities in agreement with departmental and line managers.
Receiving, quoting and producing contracts, managing the engineering changes and modifications and relevant associated documents and reports.
Identifying and communicating the objectives for the project team in accordance with the contract terms, scope of work and company policy.
Support day-to-day operational aspects of the work package(s) or project(s).
Liaising with internal teams (i.e. Procurement, Mechanical, Process etc) to ensure efficient delivery of assigned projects or work packages
Works closely with relevant stake holders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s) to include (but not limited to) resources, contractors and vendors).
Work closely and effectively with the Technical Services teams and/or 3rd parties to ensure installation or commissioning work is completed to the necessary level of quality and timescales to meet the needs of the project
Ensure compliance with internal and contractual Project Management guidelines
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience of working on multiple projects at the same time and confident in their ability to work to strict deadlines in a fast paced environment.
As Project Manager, you will have a healthy mix of the following:
DAB Checked in order to work in schools
Experience of working as a Project Manager on projects with a strong focus on M&E.
Experience with Solidworks and AutoCAD advantageous
Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
You must be able to work independently and methodically to achieve strict timelines and liaise confidently with internal engineering teams and clients' representatives.
A background in the management of engineering projects or involvement with the design and testing of equipment/machinery is also highly desirable.
