SITE MANAGER – PRINCIPAL CONTRACTOR – GROUNDWORKS – DERBY/NATIONWIDE
FIRST 5 WEEKS IN INVERNESS
Hunter Mason are recruiting a Site Manager for a Groundwater Contractor based in the Midlands. They are looking for someone who has experience running a CDM site as Principal Contractor.
With over 30 years’ experience in the design, supply and installation of groundwater control systems, my client is able to offer unmatched levels of knowledge and expertise with ‘real world solutions’ to your groundwater problems.
The initial job is a 5 week pump test in Inverness for Scottish Gas so Groundworks or Utilities experience is advantageous. The ideal candidate will be based near Derby but willing to travel nationwide depending on the job is.
BASIC DUTIES
Liaising with clients and reporting on progress to staff and the public
Supervising construction workers and hiring subcontractors
Buying materials for each phase of the project
Monitoring build costs and project progress
Conducting quality and safety inspections
Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
Maintaining quality control checks
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Ideally from a Groundworks/Utilities background
Must be experienced in working on CDM sites
Experience in working as Principal Contractor
Strong management background
