The Role
My Client are currently looking for a site project manager to join their growing business! An ideal opportunity for someone with a site / construction background in project management.
The head office is located in Colchester but this role will be on the road, Nationwide.
About You & Key Skills required
Excellent client, main contractor and sub-contractor relationship skills
Good supervisory skills, written and oral communication skills
Understanding of H&S requirements
The ability to work on multiple projects within timescales and budgets
Understanding of materials and processes within the construction and signage industry
Appropriate H&S qualifications would be an advantage but not essential (CSCS / SSSTS / SMSTS / PASMA / Temporary Works)
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Reporting directly to the Project Director & Client Services managers the main purpose of this role is to provide effective Project Management and Site Co-ordination on multiple marketing suite fit-outs and associated display, signage installations.
To provide accurate site measures surveys, generating project reports and regular feedback to the management team. Assisting in the procurement process and managing the on-site works ranging in value from £10,000 to in excess of £500,000. Liaison with various levels of the Client’s management and administrative team and the management of direct staff and sub-contractor trades.
To ensure that Health and Safety requirements on site are maintained in accordance with agreed policies and procedures.
To undertake fitting responsibilities as required by the Fitting Manager/Client Services briefing.
This role is predominantly site-based with occasional visits to the office (Colchester) as and when required
Main Tasks
Undertake surveys across various client project requirements in a clear, concise and detailed manner and reporting back to the Client Services and D&B administration teams.
Identify possible risks and hazards located on site, establishing the safest method possible in order to install signage in location.
Produce and follow responsibility schedules and programmes of works where necessary, keeping these up to date at each stage of the project delivery – chairing/attending client meetings where necessary during project delivery.
Report findings including visual illustrations, photographs, communicating with the relevant departments within the company and sharing detailed information at each stage
To be professional and courteous when dealing face to face with the client at all times.
Manage and support colleagues and sub contract trades working for them whilst on site, ensuring they are working to the companies policies and procedures at all time.
Working with Project Director and Client Services; generate and submit detailed and accurate accounts, materials and pricing documents.
Liaise with and manage approved trade sub-contractor and material suppliers to secure quotations and orders.
Monitor and report back on nominated sub-contractor performance criteria and ensure cost expectations, performance and compliance levels are met.
Accurately record relevant information onto the Company tracking documents.
Ensure that all project administration is actioned in an organised and timely manner.
Provide final accounts on each project (detailing any additional expenses/costs) and ensure details are submitted on time (timesheets/material sheets/vehicles expenses/other expenses raised on time to aid client services with cost tracking and invoicing).
Provide holiday cover and support as required to other areas of the business (signage) reporting to department managers.
Be able to work on your own initiative or as part of a team - must be able to problem solve.
Quality checking own work, thoroughly reading each brief for each job and communicating regularly with account handlers and signage management colleagues to ensure that the best and most accurate service is provided to our clients.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures at all times while also adhering to any building site specific policies and procedures when in location.
Managing build & construction programmes for the delivery of marketing suits, modular builds and communal areas / fit-outs.

25 days holiday plus bank holidays. After 2 years’ service your holiday increases to 26 days, after 4 years 27 days and after 5 years 28 days.
